I agree, and they shouldn't always be the butt of a joke.
With its trash limit breaks and barebones battle system. Characters that are out of a Saturday morning cartoon, yeah 9 is so much better... I'll give you that most of the characters are well developed but that's all it has going for it.

It caught up to 360 in sales despite launching a year and a half late in Europe and a year later in America. Outside of the rough start, I'm failing to see the "disaster". Catching up is something Xbox One couldn't do despite launching at the same time lol. Apples to Apples, Playstation trumps Xbox. They have no worldwide appeal.

Definitely, I've seen people say 9s combat was better than 7 and 8s. That's absolutely hilarious.
How is 9 underrated? People act like it's the best game ever even with its crippled combat system.
How was the combat system great? It was barebones compared to 7 8 and 10.
What game did you play? Leveling up doesn't weaken you, it makes your base more powerful. Also, think of junction as adding Super Saiyin and other levels to base Goku. Considering magic can be synthesized in 8, I don't get the irritation with the junction system.
There's lots of unrealistic things in videogames. They're videogames lol. Does it really hurt you to have variety? No one is asking for the character in the thumbnail in every game lol.
